Our Church School program is available during our Main Worship Service (held at 10:00 am during the Program Year and at 9:00 am during the Summer).
Noah's Ark Nursery is available during worship for infants and toddlers, birth through age 3. These children may go directly to the Nursery before worship, or may be brought to the Nursery at any time during the service. Our Nursery is staffed by professional staff and trained volunteers and adheres to strict safety guidelines. For your convenience there is a speaker in the room so that you can listen to the entire service.
School Year Program (September thru May) for ages Pre-K3 through 8th grade
All Church School participants begin in the 10:00 am Worship Service with their parents/caregivers.
At the designated time they transition to Church School with their teachers.
Church School begins with a Gathering Time; which includes a brief welcome and an invitation to treasure, loving actions, or both, to God, and a prayer. After our Gathering Time, the children break into age level groups.
Our Church School classrooms (Rooms 9,10 and 11) are located on the lower level below the Sanctuary. The space is flexible to accommodate creative classroom activities.
The Children reunite in Room 9 at the end of most Church School sessions for Music with Melissa, our music program taught by Melissa Clark. Melissa is an accomplished music educator and a wonderful resource for our classes. We are blessed to have her working with our children.
Church School concludes at 11:15 am:
Children, grade 3 and younger must be picked up by a parent or caregiver.
Children in grade 4 and older are dismissed as a group to reunite with their families in Parish Hall.
On communion Sundays (first Sunday of the month, youth in grades 6 and above are encouraged to stay in Service.
Youth Group Programs
STEPPING STONES youth group for youth in grades 4, 5 & 6
This youth group meets once a month (typically on Friday night) for a time of fun and fellowship.
This youth meets on the last Monday of every month from 6:00-7:30 p.m. The youth make sandwich meals that will feed the hungry and homeless in New Haven that night, then they share a meal together (pizza!), and play fun games. Members of our church Board of Outreach and other adult volunteers pick up the meals from the church and deliver them to folks in New Haven. The work our youth do in assembling the meals has an immediate impact as those that receive them get them within hours of the sandwiches being made. This is a can't miss event for all of our 6th, 7th and 8th graders!
HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP for Grades 9-12
Our high school group meets on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00 p.m. We meet every week with the exceptions of holidays, school vacation weeks, or if we have an alternative event (overnight, service event, etc.) planned for that weekend.
