I am in my second year as a student at Yale Divinity School, and it is my honor to be serving as the Student Minister at First Church Cheshire for this academic year. I was born and raised in Massachusetts and grew up in a small town north of Boston. I studied at Yale College for my undergrad and graduated with a degree in anthropology. After some time of seeking, I felt God’s call to enroll in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. For a year, I worked as a case manager at a homeless services agency in Los Angeles and lived in community with three other volunteers. Since then, God has called me to seminary, and I am now discerning ordination in the United Church of Christ. It has been quite the journey, and I am grateful to be here. My spiritual interests include pilgrimage, labyrinths, and contemplative prayer. The UCC recently adopted a resolution at General Synod to becoming a church of “Contemplatives in Action”. I am excited to explore and discern what that might mean for myself and for First Church Cheshire.
